Lanise Parnell, Veterinary Technical Training Coordinator, Muse Vet

With over 17 years of experience as a veterinary technician, Lanise Parnell has dedicated her career to advancing veterinary medicine through clinical expertise, education, and mentorship. Her diverse background spans both general practice and specialty medicine, equipping her with a deep understanding of patient care and advanced veterinary procedures.

Lanise’s passion for veterinary anesthesia led her to the University of Georgia’s Anesthesia Department, where she not only worked in a high-level clinical setting but also played a pivotal role in educating future veterinarians. As an instructor, she guided veterinary students through the complexities of anesthesia, instilling both technical proficiency and confidence in their skills.

A graduate of Northern Virginia Community College with an Associate Degree in Animal Science and Veterinary Technology, Lanise has continuously sought ways to uplift and inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals. This commitment led her to co-found the PetX Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and career pathways for underrepresented and marginalized middle and high school students. Through PetX, she introduces young minds to the vast and diverse world of veterinary medicine, ensuring that the future of the profession is inclusive and accessible.

With a steadfast dedication to education, mentorship, and advocacy, Lanise Parnell continues to shape the veterinary field, empowering both current and future professionals to excel in their careers.
